ABOUT ANN MARIE

ANN MARIE POPKO creates original photographic images & transforms them into encaustic art, wall mirrors, picture frames, note cards & journals.

Inspired deeply by the botanical world, many pieces incorporate images of flowers & plants, often featuring specimens that Ann marie grows herself. Serene landscapes, trees & vintage architecture are also of special interest. Digital processes are combined with beeswax, varnish & ink to transform the simple pleasures of life into treasures for the home.

 

Photography is a new trade for Ann Marie. She has had past careers as pastry chef, window dresser & TV set dresser, & currently designs her own line of hair accessories & bridal headpieces.  It’s all about making the world a more lovely place.

 

Born and raised in Indian Orchard, MA, Ann Marie has spent most of her adult years in New Orleans & New York. She currently resides in Ludlow, MA.
